Lilbern Kyle Slate is a retired Critical Care Paramedic and currently serves as a Senior Education Specialist at CAMC Vandalia Health in Charleston, West Virginia. He is the husband or his beautiful wife, Jessica Slate and the father or three amazing children. With 27 years in Emergency Medical Services and 15 years of volunteer firefighting experience, Mr. Slate has a profound dedication to public safety and high-quality training that aligns with industry standards.

Leadership in education and service
Mr. Slate's career highlights include serving as Squad Training Officer during his EMS career, earning his Critical Care Paramedic certification, and overseeing the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center for Charleston Area Medical Center. He advocates passionately for the AHA Emergency Cardiac Care mission, believing "the only thing more expensive than education is ignorance."

Impactful presentations and community engagement
Mr. Slate has presented educational sessions at West Virginia State EMS conferences and on the local level. During his tenure in Volunteer Fire Service, he held roles as EMS Training Officer and Fire Prevention Officer, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He established a very successful Fire Prevention program that engaged the children of the community while educating them, showcasing his skills and passion for community safety.
